PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Production of 630 gravel columns with a diameter of 0.8 meters using a V-Rex unit. After the revision of the new water management system, which receives rainwater, the old water system had to make way for a housing estate.
The water depth was between 1 and 2.2 meters, and the resulting gravel columns varied in depth between 4.5 and 7.5 meters. The working time on this construction site was 1 month.
The work was carried out using a rolling platform. The V-Rex unit, which is located on the crane, creates the ballast columns in rows in front of the crane until the maximum reach is reached. The crane then moves off the platform and a gravel mixture is applied as fill. By rolling the applied layer, the platform expands and the crane is able to create the next rows of ballast columns.
